MP United extends win streak in U15 youth league
MP United Football Club prolonged their winning streak in the 2018 Spring Youth League U15 Boys Division after shutting down Tan Holdings Football Club 3-0 during last Saturday’s game held at the Koblerville Elementary School soccer field. Both teams were equally matched as the game remained scoreless for nearly 30 minutes.
But in the 29th mark, MP United broke the silence with Rintaro Miyawaki on the end of the field finishing strong for 1-0 edge before ending the first half. Tan Holdings FC sought for redemption as they played more aggressively after the halftime break. Anthony Bergancia, Richard Waldo and Ezekiel Canape led the attack breaking through enemy lines looking for the kill but MP United stayed on their toes disrupting any clear shot to keep them empty handed. MP Untied made use of THFC’s pressure catching them off-guard with the sudden shift of momentum letting Jason Quimzon strike at the 41st minute followed by another by Miyawaki at the 58th mark to take the win 3-0.
Kanoa Football Club earned the opening match of the day holding down the fort against Matansa Football Club 2-1. After a quiet first half battle, Kanoa FC nipped the first highlight play with Ian Maniago slicing in the shot at the 56th minute for the lead 1-0. Brian Lubao pulled through with the second shot for Kanoa FC during the 63rd mark for the comfortable 2-0 distance. MFC fought back despite the gap as their relentless efforts caused Kanoa to commit the error scoring in their own goal, but it was still not enough to steal the win or force the draw settling for defeat 2-1.
Paire Football Club earned the third win of the day as they outscored Shirley’s Football Club 7-3
