Kanoa, Southern United rout opponents in U16 Girls soccer
KANOA and Southern United football clubs dominated their respective opponents Saturday in the U16 Girls division of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League at the NMI Soccer Training Center.
Kanoa remains undefeated as they earned their fourth win, this time against MP United Football Club, 6-0.
Kanoa played the role of the aggressor and it worked well in their favor as they were in complete control in the first half of game.
After five minutes of play, they connected their first goal thanks to Kaithlyn Chavez. The Kanoa onslaught did not stop there as Audrey Castro joined the score board at the 8th minute mark.
Chavez then delivered two more goals at the 10th and 15th minute marks to complete the hat-trick and widen Kanoa’s lead, 4-0.
In the second half, MP United shifted their focus to defense to reduce Kanoa’s productivity.
However, with no offense added into the mix, MP United remained scoreless.
Kanoa, for their part, gradually broke through the defense and sank two more goals. Joselyn Atalig delivered at the 32nd minute mark while Castro drained the sixth and final goal to put MP United out of their misery.
Southern United vs Shirley’s
Southern United Football Club powered their way to a double-digit victory drubbing of Shirley’s Football Club, 14-1.
Southern United scored four goals in the first half and exploded offensively in the second with Pia Newakl seizing the spotlight by sinking six of their 10 goals.
Shirley’s managed to notch a point after Southern United scored an own goal at the 32nd minute mark.
