Matansa FC blanks MPU FC in U13 girls soccer
Matansa Football Club blanked MPU Football Club, 7-0, in Week 6 of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Fall 2022 last Oct. 29 at the Northern Mariana Islands Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
Alyssa Borlongan scored four of the team’s goals, while Hailey Benavente scored the other three goals.
MPU watched the time fly by as they could not put up a goal against Matansa’s tough defense. So far in the season, Matansa is at four wins, one loss, and one draw. MPU is at two wins and three losses.
Southern United FC-1 12, Paire FC 0; Kanoa FC Team-1 12, Southern United FC-2 0 Both Southern United Football Club-1 and Kanoa Football Club-1 defeated their foes in the same fashion, silencing them, 12-0.
Paire could not get past Southern United FC-1’s defense and goalie as they were shut down through the whole game and came up empty until the time ran out.
Rosie Jean Saralu of Southern United FC-1 scored eight of the team’s 12 goals, with three goals for Selena Atalig, and one for Brianne Echalico.
On the opposite end, Southern United’s sister team, Southern United FC-2, failed to score against Kanoa FC-1.
Kanoa FC’s Aubrey White, Beatrice Gross, and Ye Lynn Ha scored three goals each, with two goals from Hayven Moteisau, and one goal from Elikristiana Iglecias.
Southern United FC-1 is at four wins and one loss; Paire is at two wins, one draw, and one loss; Kanoa FC-1 is currently on top of the standing with an undefeated 6-0 record; and Southern United Team FC-2 is at one draw and four losses.
Tan Holdings FC-2 4, Kanoa FC-2 3 TanHoldings Football Club-2 beat Kanoa FC-2, 4-3. Vanessa Bayog from Tan Holdings FC drew first blood in the ninth minute but was immediately followed up by a goal from Miana Dela Cruz of Kanoa FC.
Ashley Sangcap of Tan Holdings ended up scoring two of the team’s goals with one more goal from teammate Alyza De Belen.
Tan Holdings FC-2 is at 1-5 in the standings, while Kanoa FC-2 is at one draw and four losses.
U13 BOYS Kanoa FC 3, Tan Holdings FC 0 In the U13 boys division, Kanoa Football Club defeated Tan Holdings Football Club, 3-0.
Jayson Tagabuel scored three minutes into the game with teammate Gil Rooney backing him up in the ninth minute with another goal.
The third goal was scored by John Paul Binghit in the second half with Tan Holdings still with zero on the board.
Kanoa improved to a 4-1 slate, while Tan Holdings has one loss, one draw, and three losses.
MPU FC Blue 7, Shirley’s FC 2 ; MPU FC Pink 2, Matansa FC 0 MPU Football Club Blue and Pink teams defeated their opponents.
The Blue team beat Shirley’s FC, 7-2, while the Pink team silenced Matansa FC, 2-0.
In the Blue versus Shirley’s game, the Blue team’s Quido Jambor, Stephen Yeom, and Landon Jordan scored two goals each, while Henry Yeom scored one goal.
The two goals for Shirley’s FC were both made by Branson Santos Jr.
In the Pink versus Matansa game, Joab Theo and Taiga Namai-Scoggins scored the two goals for the Pink team, while Matansa had no comeback.
MPU Blue team is on top of the standings with four wins and one draw; Shirley’s FC has yet to win in five tries; MPU Pink team is at 3-2 in the win-loss chart; and Matansa dropped to 2-3.
