Tan Holdings, Paire top women divisions
TAN Holdings and Paire football clubs topped their respective divisions in the Dove Women's League Fall 2021 tournament at the NMI Soccer Training Center.
In the premier division, Tan Holdings Football Club notched an overall record of 8 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw.
Against the Kanoa Football Club on December 4, THFC fought a very tough battle that ended in a 6-6 draw.
THFC's Kaithlyn Chavez led her team with three goals while team mates Allyssya Angeles, Britany Wally and Rizza Relucio contributed a goal each.
Kanoa was carried by Khristelle Itaas with four goals while team mate Irish Pagarao added two more.
Unfortunately, due to the recent rise of Covid-19 cases, one team had to drop out of the league as they did not have enough players per game. Moreover, many players did not want to come out and play, thus several games were canceled and the tournament had to end earlier than scheduled.
Paire vs MP United
In the intermediate division, Paire Football Club edged MP United Football Club 3-2 to take the top spot.
Paire’s Lindsay Davis, Lily Muldoon and Natalie Hill highlighted their team’s win with a goal each while More Sablan and Jove Taman were the scorers for MP United.
In the battle for third place, Southern United Football Club defeated Paire FC 2, 4-3, while Shirley's Football Club bagged fifth place with a win over Paire FC 3, 7-3.
Kanoa Football Club finished seventh by beating Matansa Football Club 2-1.
