TanHolding keeps MSL Spring Season lead
TanHoldings Football Club was on fire in last Sunday’s Division A game in the Marianas Soccer League Spring Season 2022 at the NMI Soccer Training Center after torching the NMI U17 Developmental Team, 8-0.
Martin Jambor led TanHoldings’ rout of the NMI U17 after delivering a hat trick, while Joshua Abragan, Jireh Yobech, Michiteru Mita, Kohtaro Goto, and Rakib Hassan added one goal each.
With the lopsided win, TanHoldings is still on top of team standings, as it remains unbeaten in three games.
Eleven Tiger is at close second with its 2-1-0 win-draw-loss following a 3-0 triumph (via forfeit) over Paire, which dropped to third place (2-0-2). The NMI U17 is ranked fourth with a 0-1-2 slate, while Kanoa FC is at the cellar with a 0-0-3 mark.
DIVISION B
Matansa 6, Shirley’s 1 In Group 2 of Division B, Matansa also notched its third win to keep the lead in its pool. Justin Weaver anchored Matansa’s victory over Shirley’s, as he scored three goals. Dylan Mister, Dane Hodges, and Garrett Weaver contributed one goal each, while Shirley’s lone goal came from Carl Salas. Shirley’s has yet to win a game after four matches.
Old B Bank 2, Bangladesh FC 1 In the other match in Group 2, Old B Bank edged Bangladesh FC to match Matansa’s 3-1-0 record and gain a share of the lead in the pool.
Guillermo Lifoifoi hit the winning goal for Old B Bank in the 41st minute, just two minutes after Bangladesh FC’s Soheal Akanda tied the match. Jun Liu scored the other goal for Old B Bank.
WDT 4, Saipan United 3 The NMI Women’s Developmental Team broke into the win column in Group 1 after nosing out Saipan United.
Jannah Casarino, Kaithlyn Chavez, Allyssya Angeles, and Britanny Wally scored for the WDT, while Kuu Nishimura registered all the three goals for Saipan United.
In the other match in Group 1, Hana FC and Chang Bai Hu settled for a scoreless draw.
