TANHOLDINGS Football Club made their way to the top of the food chain in the U15 Girls Division of the Youth League Fall 2021 after earning their third straight win by crushing Southern United Football Club 8-1 Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center.
TanHoldings' teamwork and skilled players were their biggest assets as they controlled most of the possession throughout the game.
In the opening half, THFC set the tempo with Kaithlyn Chavez orchestrating the assault and finding the back of the net just five minutes in.
With SUFC unable to stand their ground, THFC scored three more goals. Tamia Hix joined the score board at the 10th minute mark while Chavez maintained efficiency with two more goals at the 14th and 18th minute marks to complete the hat-trick and give her team a 4-0 advantage.
In the second half, SUFC’s Pia Newakl found an opening and delivered a goal. Unfortunately, that was the one and only highlight for her team as THFC regained control and converted four more goals.
Mia Abuan scored at the 26th and 38th minute marks while Chavez connected her fourth goal 11 minutes later.
Before SUFC’s misery could end, THFC’s Rizza Relucio joined the highlight reel by scoring at the 47th minute mark to seal an emphatic 8-1 victory.
MP United vs Paire
MP United Football Club claimed their first win of the season by outplaying Paire Football Club 7-3.
MPU displayed complete dominance in the first half, scoring seven goals in 25 minutes as Audrey Castro led her team by scoring six of those goals. She fired her first goal at the 7th minute mark followed by teammate Cathy Woo two minutes later before Castro took over the scene by scoring at the 16th, 20th, 22nd, 23rd, and 24th minute marks.
PFC did fight back with Phoenix Gross slipping in a goal at the 19th minute while team-mates Miranda Borja and Justidy Mizutani contributed one each at the 28th and 35th minute marks of the second half, but their efforts weren’t enough as MPU cruised to victory, 7-3.
Kanoa vs Shirley's
The third victory of the day was claimed by Kanoa Football Club which silenced Shirley's Football Club 7-0 to add a second win in Kanoa’s column.
Kanoa’s teamwork truly shined as Keziah Manabat started the run just three minutes into the game while Joselynn Atalig followed up with two consecutive goals at the 6th and 7th minute marks to give Kanoa the lead, 3-0.
