Less than a year since the NMIFA was formed, it sent its first youth national team (boys U14 age group) in the East Asian Football Federation U14 Youth Festival held in China. Since then, the CNMI has been consistently represented in youth competitions organized by the EAFF and Asian Football Confederation, as the NMIFA sent boys and girls U12, U15, and U18 teams in these off-island events.

 

In 2011, the CNMI Boys U15 National Team gave the Commonwealth its first-ever international win after prevailing over Macau, 2-1, in the East Asian Football Federation U15 Youth Tournament held in Chinese-Taipei.

 

Today, the NMIFA continues to build capacity for its youth national team program through various local leagues and competitions and partnership with member-clubs.
