What a game! We believe that everyone who watched felt how close and competitive it was. We finished with a 2-1 result for Singapore, and the boys were absolutely gutted with the result at the final whistle. That reaction says a lot about where they are now. They’re not just here to take part. They’re pushing for results they truly believe they can get.
The effort was there from start to finish. Everything they’ve been picking up from the earlier matches and trainings showed in how they played. They stayed organized, they fought for every ball, and they created real scoring chances. We got our goal off a great finish by Arstin Tagabuel, and the boys fed off that moment the entire game.
Our boys are even more fired up. Not because they weren’t hungry before, but because this match showed them they can stand toe-to-toe and compete. Each game has been building their confidence, and today added another layer of belief. They’ve been growing throughout the tournament, and today was another step in the right direction!
