Our match ended with 4-0 in favor of Hong Kong. They got an early one on us, but once the boys settled into the flow of the game, they kept things steady for most of the first half. They stayed organized, communicated well, and managed the game for long stretches at a time. As the minutes added up, you could see how much football they’ve played these past few weeks. The fatigue slowly kicked in, and Hong Kong made the most of those moments.
Even with the fatigue, the boys still produced some impressive attacking ideas they’ve been working on. There were great combinations through the middle, intentional passes into space, and moments where the structure of the play was exactly what we’ve been building toward. Several noteworthy moments in the game that show how much they’ve learned in a short amount of time. And as always, in true NMI fashion, they didn’t check out. They stayed with it, pushed each other, and fought right until the last whistle.
Let’s go NMI!
