Our final match of the qualifiers ended in a 2-0 result in favor of Macau. The boys came into this game determined to finish strong, and from the first whistle, they showed just how much heart they had left to give. Despite the long, demanding schedule and the physical toll of multiple matches in a short span, the team fought with everything they had.
They stayed disciplined, organized, and committed to the style of play they’ve been building throughout the tournament. There were stretches of the match where their movement, decision-making, and teamwork truly reflected how much they’ve grown in these past few weeks. The boys pushed through fatigue, stayed connected, and continued to challenge for every ball. Their resilience never wavered.
This group gave their all — and more — every single match. They represented the Marianas with pride and embodied the spirit of our islands on and off the pitch. They deserve every bit of praise and appreciation from home.
