The Northern Mariana Islands Football Association (NMIFA) successfully hosted its Introductory Referee Course, welcoming young and aspiring match officials ready to take their first step into officiating the beautiful game.
Throughout the course, participants were introduced to the Laws of the Game, match procedures, positioning, communication, and decision-making. More than just learning the rules, these future referees gained a deeper understanding of how football is played—and how their role helps protect the integrity, fairness, and spirit of the sport.
Great referees don’t just enforce rules—they guide the game with confidence, fairness, and respect. By investing in the development of young officials, NMIFA continues to raise the standard of football across the Northern Mariana Islands. When referees improve, the game improves.
The future of football is not only in the players—but also in the whistle. Together, we are developing leaders on and off the field as we continue strengthening the game throughout the Northern Mariana Islands.
