11 attend Grassroots Kids Leader Coaching Course
The Northern Mariana Islands Football Association conducted a Grassroots Kids Leader Coaching Course over the weekend at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville as part of its continued efforts to further strengthen the grassroots soccer program on the islands.
Eleven individuals attended the entry level course that was especially tailored to the CNMI’s grassroots soccer community and is heavily backed by parent-coach volunteers. NMIFA technical director Michiteru Mita and NMIFA coaches Jershwin Angeles and Angie Ito were the course instructors.
Participants experienced first-hand one of the most important factors in coaching at the grassroots level—HAVING FUN. They are aiming to complete and gain their certification at the Grassroots Festival scheduled for March 5.
