Our girls put up a hard-fought battle against Vietnam, ultimately finishing with a 0-20 loss.

Vietnam proved to be a formidable opponent, executing a highly disciplined and experienced game plan. They were much better tactically, putting immense pressure on us from the whistle and exposing gaps between our lines before we could adjust. It was a fast-paced, demanding match that pushed our team to its absolute limits.

While those mistakes penalized us on the scoreboard, seeing these tactical areas on the field gives us a clear blueprint of what it takes to compete at this level. It also gives us a roadmap for our upcoming training sessions as we prepare for our final match.

Despite the loss against the host nation, our team showed incredible heart and worked hard from the first whistle to the last. This performance was a massive step up from our first game. The players improved their focus, sharpened areas where we previously fell short, and maintained a resilient attitude despite running into heavy fatigue as the match wore on.

What stood out most was the team’s mental toughness as they fought without ever giving up. The final score doesn’t reflect the grit, resilience, and progress these players displayed on the field. We are incredibly proud of their effort, and we look forward to building on these lessons for the next match.

The support from back home truly energizes the team from afar. Let’s continue to stand behind our girls as we face our last opponent this Sunday!
