The first games are always tough because the jump in speed, physicality, and intensity hits abrupt and fast. It’s a level we don’t get to experience back home, so it takes a moment to adjust. Our team realized right away that they need to push past their usual limits, and that’s exactly what the coaches want. Learn fast, improve every game, and bring everything into the next one.
Even with the scoreline, we had moments to be proud of. We broke into Malaysia’s attacking third, which is not easy against a team of their level, and we earned a corner. Those small wins matter, and the coaches recognized them. Today was eye opening, but our team handled it well and kept fighting until the final whistle. No one checked out. They gave it their all, and we couldn’t be more proud.
Thank you again for the constant love and encouragement. Now we move on to the next!
Let’s go NMI!
