Match Day 2 | Vietnam vs NMI | AFC U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers

Playing the host country in front of a home crowd was a huge experience for our boys. The stadium had drums beating, chants echoing, and flags waving the entire match. These are the kinds of moments that stay with young players and give them a real sense of what football culture feels like outside our island.

While the scoreline is heavy, we believe that everyone who watched can agree that it does not reflect the effort our boys put into applying what they learned after the match against Malaysia. There were clear moments where they tried to adjust their spacing, improve their positioning, move the ball quicker, and react earlier to pressure. These habits take time to build and the intent is there, and the coaches are seeing the progress.

Our team went into this match with a solid mindset, and just like the last one, they absorbed everything they could.

Thank you for all the support from our friends, families, and community back home!

We can’t wait to see what they’ll show us in the next one.

Let’s go NMI!
