Play Smart, Live Strong | Summer Camp | Lesson 15 Group Discussion Highlights

This week’s lesson challenged our students to think about what it means to be someone their teammates can depend on.

Together we discussed:

  • Why healthy habits prepare you for game day
  • How nutrition, sleep, and hydration improve performance
  • Why a healthy body helps you make smarter decisions
  • How responsibility builds trust within a team

During training, players worked on positioning, and how to stay in the right place, communicate, and be ready for the play.

Just like good positioning strengthens a team on the field, responsible choices strengthen every player off the field!

The Play Smart, Live Strong initiative by the Northern Mariana Islands Football Association empowers our youth to make healthy choices on and off the field. Together with the Saipan Soccer School, we are using the power of soccer to promote substance-free lifestyles and reduce the risk factors related to underage drinking and marijuana use.

Every week we will share about our practical lessons, group discussion highlights, and soccer skills we learned to support our players as they Play Smart, Live Strong!
