This week, our young players learned about integrity and its connection to fair play.
Players learned that fair play means being honest, respecting the rules, treating opponents with respect, and taking responsibility for their actions, even when the referee or coach isn’t watching.
The lesson also connected integrity on the field with the choices players make in everyday life. Staying true to your goals, resisting peer pressure, and choosing a healthy, substance-free lifestyle are all ways young athletes can demonstrate character and protect their future!

The Play Smart, Live Strong initiative by the Northern Mariana Islands Football Association empowers our youth to make healthy choices on and off the field. Together with the Saipan Soccer School, we are using the power of soccer to promote substance-free lifestyles and reduce the risk factors related to underage drinking and marijuana use.
Every week we will share about our practical lessons, group discussion highlights, and soccer skills we learned to support our players as they Play Smart, Live Strong!
