This week, our After School Program players focused on Adaptability and its connection to the soccer skill of Agility.
Players understood that the game is constantly changing. A defender can block a passing lane, a teammate can make an unexpected move, or an opportunity can appear in an instant. Developing agility helps players react quickly, change direction, and find a new path forward.
The same mindset applies off the field. Adaptability means staying calm when plans change, thinking through challenges, and finding positive ways to keep going!
Players also explored how making healthy amd substance-free choices supports their ability to stay focused, coordinated, and ready to take on new challenges.

The Play Smart, Live Strong initiative by the Northern Mariana Islands Football Association empowers our youth to make healthy choices on and off the field. Together with the Saipan Soccer School, we are using the power of soccer to promote substance-free lifestyles and reduce the risk factors related to underage drinking and marijuana use.
Every week we will share about our practical lessons, group discussion highlights, and soccer skills we learned to support our players as they Play Smart, Live Strong!
